I've tried 40 of the 64 beers in this year's Battle.

Well I've only had 25 of the beers that are gonna be battling.
There's even a few I've never heard of, which is cool, cuz I know what to look for and try to get me up to speed.
The only one I'm really gonna push is Allagash! Please, people vote for this most wonderful brew. I know Ommegang is a fav and went very far in last years tourney, why I don't know. I didn't think much of it when I've had it and putting it against Allagash made me gasp cuz just possibly Allagash will get booted right away, but hey thats me. Anyways, this is quite interesting and can't wait to see what, who, and why all you beer lovers choose the beers you choose.
I also would like to push Bell's Two Hearted Ale, Abita Turbodog, Snake River Lager, and Lienie's Creamy Dark, Victory Hop Devil.
Cheers all!

The only one I have not had is the Shlafly Oatmeal Stout, but I'll get to it eventually. I've tried just over 4,000(all logged) different beers so far with over 3,200 bottles in my collection.

for the record, i've had 51.

hey rabidbeerjunkie: that's *very* impressive. a word of advice if you want to actually enjoy Schlafly beer: go straight to the brewery (St. Louis Brewery Tap Room) in St. Louis, MO.

until April of this year, Schlafly's bottled beers are contract brewed by August Schell in MN, and all are not as good as their local versions (even accounting for differences in fresh vs. bottled). (of course, IMO August Schell themselves brew a line of uniformly medicore faux-German beers, so maybe this colors my opinions. Geez: i really seem to be bashing MN breweries today: i *DO* like Minnesota, i swear!)

good news, though: according to their website, Schlafly/St. Louis Brewing will be opening their new, local brewing & bottling facility in mid April.

51 is awesome. I've traveled many a mile for beer, and since I go to Chicago every so often, I may have just found a good reason to stop in St. Louis. I've heard good things about Shlafly's, and I'm always up for a road trip and a new brewpub. Thanks for the excellent info.
Later,
