No boil batches

Have any of you ever made a batch with absolutley no heat what so ever? I realize that hops need to be boiled for a certain amount of time to release their essential oils, but that could probably be accomplished by using hopped LME.

What were the results? Good, Bad, or indifferent?

Sorta related, but due to my province's liquor laws, there is way too many brewpubs... most of whom brew nothing but "stir and serve" beer, as one real brewer so eloquently put it.

My first 2 batches were with prehopped LME. I didn't boil the first one, but I did for the second one. Both were enjoyable at the time, but nothing I'd ever want to make again.
