I just picked up a 12 pack of New Belgium's Saison, their Fall seasonal. Has anyone tried this yet? Just curious.

I had a test version of this on tap at the brewery last year - they said it was THIS POPULAR, and I remember really liking it. Gonna have to go back to do more research. Thanks for the heads up! :D

Got to have this on tap again at the gig tonight. WONDERFUL stuff! :D

I had my first bottle last night and really enjoyed it. It must be great on tap.

I actually think it is better from the bottle then tap. The aroma seems better, I don't know why...

I had one in the bottle recently and I remember liking it.

But I suppose it doesn't really matter what we think, because you already committed to a 12-pack! :p

Only because I have never had a New Belgium product that is undrinkable, and saison is one of my favorite styles. I do wish La Folie would make another appearance here, though.

Hey Bditty, another Nebraskan, glad to see I'm not the only one surviving this beer wasteland.

Hi Jeff, it could be worse. We could live in the Dakotas.

Or Louisiana

It's funny you talk of your beer wasteland while discussing New Belgium and have Fuller's London Porter under you name - neither of which I can get here.

I really don't think Omaha or Lincoln have that bad of a beer selection and things are only going to get better once Beertopia opens in Omaha.

PS: Thanks for the tip on how to delete my 'oops' thread

I bought the last four bottles of Fuller's London Porter at a local paint store. The distributor stopped carrying them.

I call it the beer wasteland because there are plenty of good beers available east and west of here that have to travel through this state on the almighty I-80 corridor but never stop.

And to keep the thread on track. I bought a six pack of this awhile back and didn't really enjoy it. I don't think I "get" most belgium beers yet.

The Saison? Hmmm... that's one of the few beers I'm really impressed with when it comes to NB. The other big one - which is also a seasonal, keeping this thread firmly on topic - is the -2°, NB's take on a Northwestern Pale Ale. It's basically everything I wish Fat Tire was in the first place! :)
