I got a note from Old Dominion saying they still have a small supply of 2005 Oak Barrel Millennium - $13/6 or $50/Case.
Opinions on whether or not it is worth the 40min drive to the brewery to pick this up?
I love their Oak Barrel & I love their Millennium, curious on whether the combination would be any good.

It is good but sit on it for at least a year. I had one young about 18 mo. ago and the oak was intense. BTW, at $13 a 6-er that's a steal considering retails at $25.

They are also selling discount mixed cases out at the brewery. I've lost the post that Terry Fife sent to DC-Beer.

I saw the mix case when I was at Norms. They were marketing it as their summer sampler. It had their Summer Ale, Pale Ale, Dominion Ale and New River.
Since I've tried them all, I passed.
Sounds like a trip to OD is in order to get the Mil. Oak Barrel. Since it is billed as a "2005" my guess is that it will be quite enjoyable very soon.
