ok, i just caught a thread that interested me very much. it was about fwh. now i am going to try a 4th APA with this, the question is how much hops to add in the fwh addition, so far from what i have read i shall try 30% of my aroma hops for this. is this accurate? the fwh is going to be cascade hops. and the other ? is should i still dry hop? all replies greatly appreciated.

from what I've heard, treat it as a bittering addition and a 20 min flavor addition all in one.

my apologies hogie, i have started to brew this beer. i am going to use the aroma hops for the FWH. i shall tell my story after my taste test. for the record, i LOVE THIS APA. one of the best beers i have ever brewed, i truly love homebrewing! the more i drink of it the better i like it. more to come on FWH. and this APA.

I've never used FWH. I'm making a "wife" beer in a month or so. It'll be just base malt and a FWH of Tett. With such a basic beer, I'll be able to tell what aroma/flavor contributions the FWH make.

I am using this technique on my porter that I'm brewing next weekend, we shall see.
