Has anyone experienced more foam with a belgian witbier than other beers?? I pour into my 24oz glass and end up with 1/3 of a glass because of all of the foam...i tried purging all of the CO2 out and refilling...tried dispensing at a really low psi. Or is it possible my beer is overcarbonated?

wits are generally pretty highly carbonated. so, to be true to style, you could lengthen your beer line to balance out the higher carbonation, or you could serve it at your lower carbonation, the keg will eventually equalize, and you'll be back to drinking full glasses of beer.

good luck...

Another trick is to rinse your glass in water before pouring so that it is wet. Some of the wits come with this instruction to reduce over foaming.

I had to do this. 20 feet of 1/4 hose seemed to work. I would tap off about 2 ounces into the "dump glass", then fill the glass. Keg would be at about 12-15 psi.

I moved to 3/16ths line and shortened the line to 10 feet. Worked great. But now it takes 30 seconds to fill a glass. 30 long, thirsty seconds...

Patience is a virtue, but 30 seconds is going a little overboard. I use 5' of 3/16 at 14 psi and my bomber glasses are full in 10 seconds at most. I'm going to try the wet glass trick. I have a couple of kegs that got jacked up when I screwed with the temp control on my kegerator. Froze everything, then I overcompensated and got everything up to about 50. Been foaming ever since.
