My husband and I would like to go to the Oktoberfest held in a hangar at Dulles Airport. We've read about it for years and now understand that it's by invite only. Does anyone know who I can talk to for an invite? Thanks!!!

Getting in can be a lot harder than you may realize. I've tried for several years in a row and have never made it. That said, I go to the Shirlington O'fest instead and have an absolutely wonderful time.

I go to both. They are different. If I had to pick one, it would definately be Shirlington but I've been going to the German Beer Night for years. It is fun and they go through lots of fresh Spaten and Paulaner. They have had Bitburger, Hacker Pschorr, and others before but the event has shrunk down over the last 5 years or so. They used to fly in special beers. The invitataion thing has only been going on a few years. You used to be able to get tix at the door. But I've always gotten mine via sources or now by invitation. Last year you were able to call in and get tix.

Derek I'll PM you.

I also have Club Level seats to all Redskins Games as well as orange parking passes. I'm only going to use them for one or two games this season so I'm going to sell the others if anyone is interested. Remember, These are Premium Seats on the Club Level. They have waiters that wait on you and the Orange parking area is the best premium parking area.

chaz, could you pm a brother?

I owe somebody in your area a significant gift, and two in the Club level w/ parking passes might be just the thing.....I'm assuming the cost and level of service are comparable if not superior to that in Denver's club level seating.......

I'm selling the tix at face value only. No scalping here. Not worth the trouble.

They are Club Level, Section 303, Row 8, Seats 19 & 20. and one Orange parking pass.

Funny thing is, I have 2 sets of Orange parking passes. But I always sell one back to the guy I originally got the tickets from. He has other seats.

The passes went up $100.00 this year too. from 250.00 a set to $350.00. I guess POOR Dan Schneider must need the $$

Hey hes charging $25 just to park for the scrimmages this summer. What a joke. The man knows the real money is in parking in a city like this...

Yeah I heard that. I've also heard that the Skins are the most expensive team to attend a game at home.

I finally received the invitation for German Beer Night at Dulles. I am buying a couple of tickets to keep myself on the list but it looks like this will be the first one in over a decade that I will be unable to attend. It is September 28th and I have surgery scheduled for the 27th :( .

Anyway the tickets are $25.00 each. The Address to mail payment is :

Dulles, VA 20166

Make check or Money order payable to:

FRG ODA

Questions please call 703-390-3279

THANKS! I'm putting my check in the mail right now. Good luck on your surgery. Maybe we can become regulars too and meet up with you there next year! :)

I just got the bad news. Even though I received an invitation, German Beer Night is sold out and my check which was sent in during early September has been returned. So I will not have tickets to pass on this year as I was'nt going to be able to attend because of surgery anyway. I just hope I'm still on the invitation list next year. I'll purchase my tickets earlier next year. This is going to be the first time I've missed GBN in over a decade.

That really stinks. I have not gotten back my check or the tickets so I'm not sure what's going on. Thanks for the post because I was wondering what was going on. Maybe something will come in the mail tomorrow.

I was shocked. It must have sold out quickly this year. I'm sending my check on day one next year.
