Went there 2 weekends ago, in an attempt to escape the heat wave in the city.
Pelican's on the Oregon Coast, about 7 miles north of Lincoln City. It's right on a VERY nice beach, with a beer patio looking out toward the waves. The restaurant is beautiful, with old dark wood throughout. Service is always competent, friendly, and pretty quick.
We had their wee heavy, which was a very good representation of the style. Had a few others but the wee heavy was my favorite. They sell 1-liter bottles there for $7, and you can get them filled with anything for $5.75. So after I had one 10-oz glass of wee heavy for $5, we bought TWO liter bottles of wee heavy for $12.75 a piece.
We still can't figure out why 10 oz was $5 and a liter was $5.75 but I'm not complaining. :D
Their scottish ale was thin in both mouthfeel and taste, but that's the only beer of theirs that I would not recommend. The rest are fantastic. mmm. Do make it a point to go here if you're ever on the Oregon coast.
