rarely see it mentioned here but Shamrock Brewing at 108 3d St. in Pueblo sold me an excellent pint of English-style Pale Ale last night (along with a growler of their Scottish Ale aged in Bourbon casks and a growler of their mild which the Mrs and I will check out this weekend, but the little tasters were excellent)

I would call it a 'must try'. It's my favorite brewpub in Colorado right now, though I'm always easily swayed by the "recency effect" or whatever it is called. But they hit the sweet spot in the Venn diagram where the three circles marked "old fashioned neighborhood tavern", "good in-house beer" and "sports bar" intersect. Tile floors like an old fashioned city saloon--say, the old Toots Shor's-- in the bar area. Dark wood bar and booths... Menu looks good too, but I had just left a liquor license hearing at 8 PM and wanted to get back to Denver (106 miles away)...this would be good on Colfax in Denver, near the new Tattered Cover.
