Read recently that Appalachian is building a brewpub west of Lancaster in Mountville. Great beer and food. Swashbuckler's is a hidden gem on the grounds of the PA Renaissance Faire. They are in the process of building a year-round brewpub. Currently you have to pay to get into the Faire to enjoy their beers. Check it out if any of you are in Lancaster County. Make a great stout.

Glad to hear Appalachian is doing well. I've been to the one in Gettysburg.
They better be careful though or soon people will be slagging them for being successful or even worse... the c-word

Appalachian's 3rd location in Camp Hill is having their grand opening tomorrow. Expect Lancaster to be open by Feb 2007.

Did I hear York as the 5th location??????

I was at the Gettysburg location last weekend. Had the Jolly Scot, Susquehanna stout, and Hoppy trails ipa (on cask!). All were wonderful and in good form. God was it nice to find a cask selection too!

I just passed through Camp Hill this weekend and was suprised to find the ABC location was the old Bleacher Bums restaurant. Didn't get a chance to stop in, but since that is in walking distance to my father's house, I'm sure I will be there often when I go up to visit.

Looks like my son gets to visit his grandfather more often now ;)

I'm taking my son back to school this Friday up in Bethlehem. I pass through Camp Hill on the way. (As well as Gettysburg and Harrisburg. And Easton is less than a dozen miles from his school.)
I'll be making a few trips to visit him during the school year. Can't wait to hit some of those places again. I know I'll be lunching at Bethlehem Brew Works this Friday and heading down to the beach from there. There's probably a place or two on my route down through Delaware to stop for dinner. :D

Just curious, but have you tried out Westy's in Camp Hill to get any unique sixtels you are usually looking for?

Was there on Sunday and am always impressed by their variety of selections of cases.

Do they have a website? I've not stopped there before but might just have to.

Who's up for lunch at Bethlehem Brew Works on Friday? Perfect chance for a meet up. I'm in. Any other takers? (Besides Chaz and his son). If so, PM with details. We can also go to Shangy's and turn their parking lot into a swap meet.:)
