Hey all. I am going to be in the "Mile High" city for almost two weeks starting on the 31st of this month. I have some familial obligations while there but for the most part it will be me seeing how many breweries and brew pubs I can actually get to.I plan on hitting Great Divide and Breckenridge in down town. Are there some others not in the directory on this sight I should stop at?

I'm familiar with Boulder Beer Co. Its not Denver proper, but in the Denver area. http://www.boulderbeer.com/ I've been drinking their Hazed and Infuzed Ale. Its a dry-hopped, unfiltered ale and is quite tasty. Boulder is a college town with quite a few drinking establishments and an active nightlife.

Don't forget Wynkoop, the brewpub once owned by Mayor Hickenlooper, and Flying Dog which is around there somewhere as well. Also, Longmont has the Pump House restaurant and brewpub which is pretty nice.

1. Bull & Bush, Glendale/Cherry Creek---a smaller one, but worth the effort, especially when their ESB or the Man Beer is on the hand-pull.
2. Owned by the Evil Empire, but a micro in sensibility--and you can visit while taking in a ballgame--Sandlot Brewery inside Coors Field. Better a pint of one of their GABF award winners than a 12 oz Newcastle or Fat Tire or SNPA @ $5.50 or whatever they're up to...
3. Were I in Longmont (per fret's reccomendation of the Pump house) I wouldn't miss the chance to hit Left Hand/Tabernash, makers of the best Milk Stout I've ever tasted....
4. Were I in Boulder (per dparson's) I wouldn't miss Mountain Sun or its sister, Southern Sun, the latter in the shopping mall at Table Mesa and Broadway in the quintessentially Boulder slot between Neptune Mountaineering and The North Face....
5. If I wanted to go to Breckenridge Brewery I'd go to the 475 Kalamath outpost....a brewery with a little pub attached, versus the LoDo location, which is vice versa to me.....
6. If I were headed south one day I'd make a beeline for Bristol in Colorado Springs...

Thanks for the info. I don't think I will get up to Longmont or Ft. Collins. CO. Springs is a possibility though. I will keep the Kalamath location for Breckenridge in mind. It is closer to where I will be staying most of the time while there.

Just heard about a place called Pints that's at 13th and Bannock, just south of downtown, I think. Brewpub with Cask Conditioned Ale! Never been, but I think a group of people I've been recently amassing and I are going to visit soon. Gonna be here the first 2 weeks of August, eh? I'd be up for hooking up for a pint, or if you wanted to sup at Elway's some night that'd be cool too. Lemme know!
