The Dogfish Head Days of Summer won't just be your run of the mill Pint Glass Giveaway Night!
From 7 to 10 PM on July 26th, Rustico will be the place to start (or add to) your Dogfish Head Pint Glass collection! For every Dogfish Head beer you buy that night in the bar only, you will be rewarded with a signature Dogfish Head pint glass (that's right, one glass for every DFH beer!).
In addition to our two regular Dogfish Head taps (60 Minute IPA and Indian Brown Ale), we'll be featuring two special taps of the coveted 120 Minute IPA and the rarely-seen Golden Shower Imperial Pilsner.
No reservations required - just show up on the designated DFH Wednesday! If you can't make it this month, mark your calendar for next month's Dogfish Head Days of Summer extended happy hour on Wednesday, August 23rd.
See you at the bar!

Got there by 7:30, they were already out of both Dogfish glasses as well as the 120 Minute, but at least had some Immort on tap.
On a related note, I was served what was allegedly Rogue Love & Hoppiness and an Avery IPA and both were hugely disappointing, not sure if there was a mixup or maybe they were served too cold, but something was definitely wrong. Anybody else had problems with the beer at Rustico?

wow I was there around 9:ish and they were already packing up with the kegs empty, think they were surprised by how much they moved and how quickly, I ended up heading home and pulling out a 120 minute I had hidden in the back.
the guy I spoke with said that next time they'd be bringing more glasses and beer as well.
looks like they were a victim of their own success

I've noticed some inconsistency with their draft beers, but I haven't been back in a couple of months. Then again, others have been that said all the beers they had tasted good. At least if it was a problem of serving the beer too cold, you can always let it sit and warm up a bit.
I almost went out for this pint night, but I was mountain bike racing. After hearing how quickly things went I'm glad I didn't make the trip. At least the New River Pale Ale from the cooler tasted top notch...

Speaking of New River, I think a friend of mine is getting a keg for his party on Saturday - "only" $105.
Man I wish we could order a keg of DT's imperial stout instead...

Haha, well there's not much left, but I've got all the ingredients for the next batch...hopefully this weekend. Although, if you want to make sure you are fully loaded before hitting the party, BURP is having a "meeting" on Saturday...

To all who made it out for our first Dogfish Head Day of Summer.... Thanks. We never guessed it would have gotten that busy. We ended up starting about an hour and a half earlier than expected due to some miscommunication on our part that had our bar packed by 5:30. We went through a 240 glasses in about an hour !! We were serving both the Immort Ale and GS Pilsner till 10 though... Rest assured, we'll be better prepared for the second go-round. At four months, we're still ironing out some kinks, but I'd love to get your feedback. With regard to the Love and Hoppiness, it was the end of the barrel, so I apologize if it wasn't so tasty. We've got Morimoto's Soba Ale in its place now. The negative feedback about the Avery is the first I've heard, but I'll definitely keep my ears open. Thanks for the feedback and your patience! Also will be offering Midas Touch on draught and Devin from Dogfish is promising some other tasty items as well. Remember, for every Dogfish Head beer you purchase, you receive one of their very cool pint glasses (and we've got twice as many as last time so their should be plenty to go round. :( I really wanted to get to this one because the next one in Sept. I'll not be able to make either. Are the glasses just the standard DFH glass or are they labeled for each beer?

they seem a smaller than the standard dogfish glasses 12 oz or so, but with the logo on em. was a great deal 120 minute for 5$

You definitely can partake in the giveaway from your table... Just make sure your server is aware. And believe it or not, those glasses are a full pint. Thanks for everyone who was able to turn out. Hope everybody has their calendars marked for Sept 27th when we'll do the last round of Dogfish Head Days of Summer - 6-9 PM again and you walk out the door with a glass for every draft of DFH you drink! We're gonna keep this idea going for as long as there is interest - working on Hofbrauhaus liter steins for October (although there might be a small charge there). Talks are in the works too for Victory, Clipper City, OD and others. If any of you are stopping by the restaurant, please be sure to ask for me. Would like to start putting faces with the names!

definately, theres is the only pumpkin ale that i've had that i've particularly liked so far, I've got to remember to get a keg of that to bring to the Punkin Chunkin this year since they have reversed course and are having it in the same place in millsboro again.

I'd pick up a six of Smuttynose Pumpkin if you can find it (you can find it here and you can buy our sixes to go). Tried it a week or so ago and right up there with the Dogfish. We are definitely going to have the Punkin Ale on tap for the next DFH Day of Summer!

One more Dogfish Day of Summer to round out the season - Wed the 27th from 6-9. We'll have both the Punkin Ale and a dry-hopped version of the Lawnmower Light working out of the beer engine. You'll also be able to try the Punkin Ale and Sixty Minute on draft along with another draft or two we'll be running out of a satellite bar. We also just got the DFH Chateu Jihau bottles in today and we carry most Dogfish Head product bottled as well. Remember, with any draft purchase, you get a pint glass. 10 drafts - 10 pint glasses to go home with. Hope to see you on the 27th. Chris

Went and had some fun. Was happy to see the 90 Minute on tap. I had heard they were only having the 60, the Pumpkin and the Lawnmower light and Im not too big a fan of the last two.
Wish I had known Rustico had had a keg of Pliny the past week or so. I would have gone before they kicked it which of course they did an hour before I got there...
So I hear the next event is Smutty Nose?

Pliny?!
I've given up calling Rustico to see what's new on tap, as (in my experience) their lineup has always been exactly the same.
Ah well.

Couple of cool things brewing (pardon the pun) right now... October 10th we're having our first Rustico-sponsored Beer Dinner at Tallula Restaurant in Arlington. Dave Yarrington, the Head Brewer, from Smuttynose Brewing will be joining us and sharing Executive Chef Nathan Anda's amazing food. We'll have the menu on our websites later this week, but get in touch with me ASAP if you're interested as space is limited. Our next glasswear giveaway will also be Smuttynose later this month (Wed the 25th). We'll have their Big A IPA on draft, their Pumpkin Ale running off of our beer engine and a couple other surprises for you. We're finishing up a the last of a couple of kegs of Bear Republic Racer 5 - get it while you can!! Also have recently added Kostritzer Schwarzbier, Weihenstephaner Dunkel Weisse, Gouden Carolus and Dogfish Punkin' Ale. Currently Allagash Dubbel is running through the beer engine.

So I finally made it out for one of these pint nights. Rode the bike in from Arlington, definitely a good way to stretch the legs before and after. Tried the Punkin Ale on draft and cask, side by side, first. Much more impressed with the cask version than the draft version. Next up was a 60 Minute since by this time (probably around 7 or 7:30 PM) they had run out of the 90 minute. As good as it ever was. Once they put the Hoppy Lawnmower light on cask, I switched to that and was surprised just how much I liked it. A lot of hop flavor, possibly Amarillo, but the bitterness was low which made for a mellow, yet tasty beer. Finished off with the Brown Ale, good with a little kick, but I'll stick to my hops thanks.
Ended up with 4 pint glasses before they ran out, sometime between 8-8:30 PM. Good times.
One thing to note, whenever they say "satellite bar", picture a keg at a party and thats what you got. And know that it's cash only.
