extract PPG

do all extracts give the same PPG? i know there is a difference between syrup and dry, but is there a difference between, say coopers and alexanders? are there websites for these companies that might share this info? i've looked a little, but haven't found anything.

The latest BYO stated that they are using certain standards, but they don’t differentiate between brands, just dry vs liquid.

I would assume that there might be some differences, but I guess they must be negligible.

Actually according to the Ray Daniels Designing Great Beers book - there can be a marked difference. It refers to a study that was done at a university. I've never seen the study itself.
