Front Street Brewery

Hey guys. I just wanted to drop a quick line and let you know that as of yesterday I accepted a brewing job down in Wilmington, NC at Front Street Brewery. They're closed right now for renovations, but plan on opening up in late August. I'll be shipping out within the next few weeks to get some beer in the tanks. So if anyone is in the area definately stop by to say hi. As for Thoroughbreds I really still have no clue. I believe there is an open house Tuesday for prospective buyers, but that's as much as I know. Cheers.

Congrats Kevin. I've been to Front Street and if I remember correctly one of the principals is originally from up this way. Wilmington is a nice town and you'll be close to Topsail Island and Wrightsville beaches.

We vacation on Oak Island, NC each year which is near Wilmington. I hope to make it back to the brewery in late October during our week at the beach. I'll look for you then and maybe we can have a beer.

Oh, and I wear my Front Street T-shirt proudly. It was a fun visit and great food to go with the great beer! Congrats!

I'll be in Wilmington on 7/13, then I'm going out to Bald Head Island. Too bad you won't be open till August. I'm usually down 3 times a year and look forward to trying your beers. Good luck

So Kevin, any chance you could give some information on that Double IPA you brewed up at T-Breds? I have some friends that wanted to get some for their wedding reception, but I doubt they'll be able to now. I offered to homebrew something for them, but I've never had your Double IPA. Thanks for any info!

Hey guys, things are going well down here so far. I'm working on filling up the tanks one by one. Hopefully I'll have at least 4 to 5 beers on tap when we open in early September sometime. Good news for you Zoom.........the Scotch ale will be a year round offering at Front Street. It will be slightly different for a few batches until I get rid of some leftover malt from the last brewer, but then it should be similar to the one I was making at Thoroughbreds. I'll keep you guys updated on the progress and with a definate opening date.

heading off to the first Oktoberfest of the season here today and wearing my Front Street shirt today. "Life's too short to drink bad beer!"
