View Full Version : Yeast love cherry puree
I added Oregon sweet cherry puree to the secondary yesterday. The specific gravity was 1017 before the addition. Within two hours the foam had started to rise and there was a steady bubble stream. Now, its really active.
I just hope the yeast dont destroy all that nice cherry sweetness and ruby color.

That sounds really good. When it's finished we might have to trade a few homebrews. I'm sure my wife would love to try it.

yeast love fruit sugars, ferment them completely. the sweetness will definitely be gone, leaving you the cherry flavor, but it will most likely be tart...

Sure, it'll be ready on 8/1. Are you on the south side of Chicagoland? Are you aware of B.O.S.S. homebrewer club?
