It almost makes me wish I was going to visit my parents this summer. But this is the year to visit the inlaws.
Your image says red ale, but it looks like a stout on the picture.
I have some peated malt(someone gave it to me), and I've always wondered what it could be used for. Send me a recipe please Hogie.

Looks delicious!
I wish I could photograph my beers like those in the Michael Jackson DK books. Each page just makes me thirstier!

it is a pretty wide glass, and condensation had built up by the time I got the camera, so it looks pretty black - also some backlighting would have shown the color.
It is quite tasty - just a hint of the peated malt, I may try it again with some rauch. I changed this recipe so many times before brewing, I'll have to check my notes to see what I actually put in there

I logged in to AHS and found that I ordered the following for this beer:
8 lbs - 2-row Pale
3/4 lbs - Crystal 60
3/4 lbs - Carapils
1/2 lbs - Crystal 90
1/4 lbs - Peated Malt
1/8 lbs - Roasted Barley
3 oz - Fuggles
1 packet SAFale US-56
I think the hopping was:
3/4 oz - 60
1 oz - 20
1 1/4 oz - 5

It looks great. I do have a favor to ask though. Next time you take a picture of your beer, let you wife hold it. It would most likely look even better. Not that your hand is ugly.
