Off the top of my head, I'd have to say Harpoon IPA. That's a nice beer...

Allagash does make the best belgian styles in the Northeast, though, IMO.

and i've had the Newport Storm at the Providence Brewfest and liked that
alot -- wish it was available in Jersey!

Kinda funny to see the Northeast section so quiet...
Well, when in Portsmouth you must hit Portsmouth Brewery...great beer and even better hot wings...order a whole plate of the volcano ones for yourself (ok don't they really really hurt).
In Boston, my favorite so far has been the Boston Beer Works (although I heard they got thier liquor license and stopped brewing)

And if your a Sammy fan...you have to go there at least for one!

Harpoon has always been one of my favorites in the area...also Stone Cat when in the northern section of the state.

And if your up by me just tell me your coming...:P

Heck of a question, and not an easy one to answer, given that there are so many good brews coming out of the area.

Allagash has to be up there, as does Magic Hat. Haven't had an Allagash yet that made me shrug my shoulders (I agree with the poster above about the tripel), and Fat Angel goes well with most foods, as well as no foods. You can't leave out Middlebury's Otter Creek line--Stovepipe Porter, Copper Ale--both excellent.
Geary's never fails me, nor does Harpoon's IPA.

That's the problem with a question like this; too many good answers.

New England and beer: perfect together, if you ask me...

In fact, one of my favorite pubs in the US is attached to the Waybury Inn outside Middlebury. It's the inn that was used as a backdrop for Bob Newhart's TV show. It's called simply The Pub, and the food, beer and atmosphere make it just about perfect, especially on a rainy, chilly spring night in mud season.

It's enough to make a fellow schedule another trip to New England....

Favorite in New England Microbrew..

So many- I like the funky brews from Magic Hat-the good quality of those Harpoon beers-I travel to New England several times a year and also look for these beers.

Most of the Maine beers are good. I like Old Thumper. And Allagash White. Tod Foster in Bar Harbor makes some interesting beer. Some of Grittys draughts are nice. And even the occasional Blueberry And although I have not had it in a long time, I used to really like Long Trail Ale From Vermont. Do they still make it? I go to Maine a couple times a year and hope to retire there some day So I try to support their economy by drinking local beers as opposed to other New England beers. To that end I always buy Poland Spring bottled water even here in Northern Virginia!

Brito is right! Newport Storm is great. I live in walking distance from the brewery and on Fridays they do tours and free tastings! Cool guys too. Only problem I had with the amber ale was when they first started the batches were a little inconsistent, I had one that had a real irony taste. They fixed it and it is now consistent and delicious!

Wow so many good breweries in the area....some great brews that come to mind are Paper City's Scotish Wee Heavy, Smuttynose Old Brown Dog, Z Street's IPA, Wachusett Nut Brown and of course anything from HArpoon is wonderful. Oh and Concord brewer's Rapscallion series is nice. I like the Blessing.

Come to think of it...they're all great drinkers!
