Has anyone else here been able try this . It's a Brooklyn Brewery tap only being sold now. Great stuff ,looks like a Belgiun Golden Ale but tastes like nothing i ever drank before. 7.7 abv.great body better hops if you see it try it. It is the best new beers i've had in a long time.

I went to a Brooklyn Brewery night at a local pub recently and they had this on tap. It was awesome; slightly sweet with lots of malt, subtle hoppiness and great body. I had a sample of the Fortitude that night, which is a Strong Belgian Ale. That was pretty nice, but the Blonde Bock was stellar.

The star of the night, though, was one of the last sixtels of 2004 Saison. Now THAT beer was nectar.

Posted at BeerAdvocate: "From Garrett Oliver: Technically, Brooklyn Blonde Bock is a hellesdoppelbock, oder "doppelbock hell". The malt is 100% Weyermann Pils malt. OG: 18.5, AE 3.5, ABV 7.7%. Hops are Hallertauer Perle and Hallertauer Mittelfrueh. Lagering time was eight weeks."

Hmm, I didn't know Perle was a Hallertauer strain. All of these brews sound wunnerful.

The Brewmaster's Reserve series is really great. I haven't had a bad one and most have been outstanding. I mentioned the Smoked Porter in Fret's thread. I thought that was a fantastic.

There's a local family-style restuarant that has the usual suspects on tap -- BMC, Guiness and friends, and Yuengling.

Oh, and 1 Brooklyn tap.

That usually has a Brewmaster's Reserve pouring. It's a dirty job, but somebody has to drink it...:D

Chimney Rock Inn. The Bridgewater location. I don't know what the tap lineup is like in Gillette. Food is really excellent burgers and pizza and the like.

Where in NJ are you dennis?

LOL i drank it at Chimmy Rock in Gillette and at the Stirling Hotel in Stirling (both the same town by the way, Long Hill Township). Chimmy Rock in Gillette also has Victory Prima Pills on tap. I live in a dry town, New Providence but have a great brew pub close by Trap Rock in Berkley Heights.

Even funnier -- The Stirling Hotel is where the Brooklyn event was that I was talking about in my first post!

I used to live in Warren and Trap Rock is near-n-dear to me.

Trap Rock is near and dear to a lot of people sort of pricey but the food and beer are both excellent.

Charlie is a very good brewer and a nice guy. I met him recently at a High Point Brewing Open House.
