I've been looking around for a compact fridge that will hold my primary. Any ideas?

Howdy-
Wal-Mart in our area has 5.0 cubic foot
Chest freezers for $138.
I suggest that you look into a small chest freezer; they hold the temp when you open them. With an aftermarket thermostat (about $50.) you can do lagers and chill kegs. See what you can find used...
Enjoy

Check out this site in reference to the chest freezer idea above. If your trying to get out a little cheaper, to start, you could store bottles first. Then go to a picnic tap system. Finally going with a tower or collar system. May be more than your looking for, but worth a look.

I looked around to purchase one, then figured i'd just keep my eyes open. Sure enough, about 3 weeks later, My wifes, friends, uncle, dogs former owner (or something along that many degrees of seperation) had a full size fridge they let me have for $40.
I store hops, yeast nutrient, and such in the freezer section. The main compartment will hold a fermenter and two kegs with my co2 tank.
