As I sit here and type this I am 4 days from going to the Endless Mtns. in PA, and doing some fishing and catching up with my wife.
And drinking plenty of good beer! I can't wait!

Anyway, has anybody ever had any of the Stegmaier stuff? We've been going over that way for awhile now and love the 1857 and porter, along with some of the Pocono brands. Gold Medal isn't too bad either. We can also get Yuengling over there! Whoopee!:D

Also, what is about fishing and beer that go so great together? A good lake and some decent action on the rod and a cold one nearby are to me the perfect vacation. No lawn mowers running, no dogs barking, so sound of traffic, and no phone calls! Awesome!

I'm with you on that!!

Though not familiar with those beers I love to drink a good one and catch some bass.

You might not be in the right part of PA, but look for Straub's beer, from St. Mary's in the NWern part of the state. It's one of the few small family-owned breweries that survivied prohibtion. And it has a fishing/hunting connection: They used to sell six packs in draw-string plastic bags so that fishermen and hunters could dump in ice, and I've heard that they close the brewery during the opening of deer season. The beer is nothing special, but it has a nice, crisp, clean taste that can be delicious on a hot day. I think you can still buy cases of 16-oz bottles that are scuffed on the sides from being returned many times.
