Hey,

The wife and I will be in the Daytona Beach area (actually Ormond Beach) and I'm just wondering if there are any good brewpubs, microbreweries or tap rooms near. Any suggestions on what to get in bottles at the grocery store?

Thanks!!!
Scott

Gee I dont know if youve gone yet but Ill advise any how. Unfortunately all of the bar or pubs in the area cater to the biker crowd so youll be hardpressed to find anything better than yuengling. Along a1a there are two ABC liquer stores. The one in north ormond has a better selection but the one in ormond by the sea(right at the end of my street) has a few decent beers. I dont know how well you know the area but on the north end bellair plaza(ormond/daytona line on a1a) the is a little liquer store with some decent imports. Hope im not too late. Watch out fer hurricanes!

Taco, Good to see you post again. What was that pub you told me about when we met in St. Augustine? Speaking of, I will be there again this Aug, first week. I know it is your busy time and I won't be there over a weekend but I would have another with you if you'd like.

I don't know if it is too late, but Indian River Brewing is down in Melbourne.

Check out Florida Brewers Guild (http://www.FloridaBrewersGuild.com) for more local brewers and pubs.

Daytona is hurting for good beer. Is anyone aware of any good homebrew shops around the area? During the time I lived there, I wasn't into homebrewing so I never paid any attention...
