Browsing around out here, I thought of my last two vacations, one to French Polynesia, and one to Roatan, Honduras - both for scuba diving.
There was pretty much one 'local' beer in each place; Hinano in French Polynesia and Port Royal in Honduras. I don't know if I just wasn't smart enough to find any 'local' micro-style brews, or if there simply weren't any.
Beer in each place seemed to be drunk fairly consistently, and for me it was good for little other than quenching thirst.
Is the lack of diversity due to the climate (hot weather), culture (lack of interest), or something else entirely? Curious to hear any other thoughts or comments.
