SUCK!!!!!
The label is cool, but just does not belong on a bottle of Shiner Blonde.
Now let's get to the taste... YYUUUUKKKKK!!!!!
What the heck????? It used to be a fairly drinkable wheaty beer. Now they've bastardized the recipie and I can't tell if it's supposed to be a Helles, a funky pils, or what!!!
All I know is that the blonde sucks (errr....not THAT kind of blonde).

Shiner Blonde isn't that bad, especially when your low on the funds. Nevermind that, bring back honey wheat. Aaaaahh!! good times, good times.

I HAVENT TRIED THE "NEW AND IMPROVED" SHINER PRODUCT YET BUT I WAS REALLY MIFFED WHEN I TRIED THE RE-VAMPED PETES WICKED ALE. BLAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PETES WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITES WHEN IT CAME OUT. NOT ANYMORE. I FEEL LIKE PETE SOLD US ALL OUT AT TIMES. KIND OF LIKE THE POPE TURNING TO TELEVAGELISTS FOR HELP...

Yeah, me too!!!
Gambrinus, the company that owns Pete's Wicked, also owns the Spoetzl Brewery (Shiner beers).
Shiner has had a Winter Ale for a few years now and it's always been so-so. This year they call it a Dunkel Weizen. Oddly enough it is VERY similar in taste to their version of Pete's Wicked Ale.
Even "stranger", the new Shiner Blonde tastes like Pete's Helles.
I remember my first REAL PWA - damn...had all the goodies floating around in it and was yummy!!
All the other Pete's stuff they brew is way over carbonated and not very good tasting.
Beer Sponge - you've have the new blonde in the blue label? Maybe I don't like it because it's not what it used to be....anyway, I miss that malty - wheaty flavor.
The Honey Wheat was enjoyable. I make my own when a particular honey is available. When it's not Dundee's Honey Brown will work.
