Interesting imports. I was at the LCBO in Ontario, and came across three imports I thought should get some attention:

(i) - Innus & Gunn, all condtioned 77 in Oak Whiskey Barrels from Scotland, this was excellent. I have mentioned beer being expensive, 3.05$ - 330 ml, I don't mind paying for this beer.

(ii) - Jenlain Blonde, from France. This blonde Lager has alot of flavour, it was 3.16$ - 330 ml. I was blown away by the taste. I am hoping they imported more of there beers, one having absinthe in it.

(iii) - Orval, from Belgium. This trappist strong ale was very easy going down, with a high abv kick. I would love to try all of the cheeses these Belgian brewery also produce to go with the beer, dare to dream eh!

Anyone out there try something new and interested that was a import?

My daughter gave me a bunch of Belgians for my birthday. So far I've drunk these:
Lindemans's Framboise: I actually enjoyed this, and I've never gotten into fruity beers. Very nice raspberry flavor, too sweet to drink often, but very refreshing.

Fantome Saison: Strange taste, bordering on unpleasant, but I finished it and will try it again. It's not like any beer I've had before so I didn't know what to expect.

Kriek de Ranke: I really liked this one too, but by the time I finished it I realized it tasted more like a hard cherry cider than a beer.

Still to try: Lindemans kriek, Cantillon's 2003 Lou Pepe's Framboise and Kriek, and Cantillon's Rose de Gambrinus.

I've found myself really enjoying and drinking a lot of LaChouffe latley. Nice fruity nose and light fruity/spicy taste. Perfect after a hot afternoon out...

This is a very nice brew that I received from one of my last brew-of-the-month clubs. I have a few left in my "cellar." I can't remember if I reviewed it...back in a minute.

Nope. Doesn't look like it, I'll have to see if I have some notes.
