I went camping this weekend, my buddy and I took our 2 year old sons. I took a 20oz bottle of my homebrew, couldn't help it. It has been in the bottle for a week. Tried it at 4 days and it was still pretty flat. Last night I poured 2 glasses for my buddy and I. Amazingly I got and inch of head on each glass, and it was much more carbonated. It could stand some more, but you could feel the carbonation. The taste was much better than a few days ago as well. My buddy said if I hadn't told him, he would not know it was homebrewed. I thought that was quite a compliment.

Grats! Feels good when your buddies dig your brew.

After a while you might start thinking that's an insult. ;)

Soon he'll be saying things like "Man that beer I had the other night at <insert bar name here> was almost as good as <insert your name here>'s brew."

Ain't homebrewing grand?

Similar to that is how my beer purchases are going. I have been drinking my homebrews almost exclusively for the last four months. I cannot get excited about purchasing any commercial brew now. I skate through all supermarket and drug stores without even checking the selection. Only the specialty retailers are of any intertest.

Homebrewing can spoil you!

That is one of the best things about our hobby. Ain't it grand to share the fruits of your labor and have them appreciated. After a few more batches though, you'll want to be hearing them say things like, "I have a hard time drinking other beers now that I have tried your's".
