Just picked up a sixer of this tonight at the Safeway (supermarket). First time I've seen it in the stores.

Quite nice. Tan rocky head, leaves a nice lace. Little to no hop aroma. Lots of malty smells and maybe a little DMS in the smell.

Transparent brown. Quite clear. Almost a mahogony glow when held up to the light.

Lots of chocolate, and more bitterness and hop flavor than it smells. Very smooth and drinkable. Nice and malty. Lots of Belgian lace down the sides of the glass.

Very enjoyable. I'll buy this 4.8 ABV session beer again.

The store had a sticker on the shelf for the Deschutes "Inversion IPA", but there were none to be had. Hopefully they'll get them in soon.

When I get a chance I'll have to give this beer a try.

wonder if it has made it to the safeway down here. i'd be interested in a good session brown ale. would probably prefer something roastier though.

I have what's left of a six in the fridge. I agree a very good brown ale to start the spring with. I am enjoying it a bunch. When you get a chance pick up the Inversion IPA. It is a good one also.

I remember when I was driving truck in that part of the country that Deschutes had some damn fine beers.

Deschutes is my favorite craft brewery. I picked up their Bock a couple of weeks ago and it was terrific (I would have posted a review, but I'm not terribly eloquent when it comes to describing the subtleties of a brew). Their HopTrip APA was my favorite beer last fall.

Buzzsaw is pretty good! Have to say I haven't had a Deschutes product I haven't liked.
