So I’ve heard that one of the largest American Beer Companies (Anheuser-Busch) is trying to side step the fact that they have changed there formula in order to pick up their drop in sales. Their once light tasting beer has now become more bitter and the taste seems to resemble their competitor. I wonder who that would be? Is it the fact that Miller Lite really does TASTE GREAT? That AB is quietly changing Bud Lite in the hopes of restoring their low sales at the sake of the consumer?

Bud Light would have to do a lot of changing for the sake of the consumer. And no, Miller Lite does not taste great. Less filling?? Maybe because I would only drink about 1/2 a can.

Half a can? I think you are being generous. One sip is enough for me.

I will never sell Bud or any bud products on draft. Millers bad enough. My dream would be to have a low enough priced kolsch on tap to take their reched place. But paying $220 a keg for a good german, not gonna happen.

They need to do something about that crap. I will drink any Bud but Bud Light.

I drink fizzy water instead. It doesn't give me a headache.

Perhaps he was referring to this:

I'll admit it's been years since I had a Bud Light, but about a year ago I re-tried Miller Lite--mainly because a non-micro drinking friend left a few in my beer fridge. I truly could not finish it, it was just that bad. I see Budweiser ramping up the hops as being a good thing--though only time will tell if they ramp it up enough to truly tell a difference.

I agree w/ you steveh, who cares?
I don't plan on knowing if they change it or not, because I am not going to drink it. I don't even say that to be a beer snob, there are just too many brews out there that I have yet to try. (and I don't care for it).

Zaphod,

I agree that there are way too many untried beers out there to go back to swill. I can't say that I won't ever drink one, because if I find myself homeless some day, I would have a hard time begging for change all day just so I could go get a couple of bombers of Rogue.

But barring that, I think my swill days are over.

BRING ON THE GOOD STUFF!!!
