I tried searching past threads and throughout the rest of the site, but couldn't find a direct answer to this question. So sorry if this has been discussed previously.

I'll be heading to Vegas for work in May and will be basically restricted to use of the monorail line for transportation. Since I'm not a gambler, I plan on exploiting my one true vice of beer consumption.

Are there any great "do not miss" beer experiences in Vegas that are easily accessible via the monorail line?

I'll be at the Hilton, and have already enjoyed the Star Trek - themed beers at the Star Trek bar located there.

Are there any good Micros/brewpubs I can easily get to?

Thanks!

Here's what you're looking for. It includes a link to the Beeradvocate.com Las Vegas listing which should sort you out.

Sin City, Hofbrau Haus, Monte Carlo, Gordon Biersh, Main Street are all easy to hit. Hofbrau while not a brewpub is my favorite. The beer is flown in from Germany. HB is located across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel off the Strip. Sin City has a little pub in the Shops at the Aladdin. Try the Stout. I was very suprised at how good it was considering Sin City is primarily a lager outlet (They brew on Grodon Biersch's equiptment.) Monte Carlo is located in the casino and is decent. Good Oysters on the half shell. Main Street is up in the Old Town Las Vegas and is in a casino. Great beers and available in the casino while you are gaming. Most Casinos will have Sierra Nevada or Sam Adams. Stay away from the Ellis Island brewpub. Although I have never been I have passed it many times. I have heard nothing but bad reviews about this place. Everything from mediocre beers to seedy atmosphere. They do sell em cheap there though.
