bros. ale: I live about 20 minutes up the freeway north of Novato where Moylans is. They are one of my favs. I wish I would have known you were coming, because there are a few quite exceptional breweries around here such as:
Lagunitas (Petaluma)
3rd St. Ale Works (Santa Rosa) <- Another fav of mine
Marin Brewing Co. (San Rafael) <- Somehow affiliated with
Moylans
Bear Republic (Healdsburg)
Anyways, next time you come out this way you will have to check out these places.
By the way, what was your fav at Moylans?

I just wanted to second Marin and Bear Republic. Great beer and nice places. I also know there are plenty of spots in NorCal. Far too many for a short trip. Visited Pyramid but not Rubicon? So much beer so little time.

You probably had the Wheat Berry (made with blackberries) as I think that is the only fruity one they make. You are right, it is an exceptional fruity brew, and like you I don't much care for much fuities with exception to an apricot ale my buddy brews.
I don't know if you noticed but I think the Imperial Stout has somethign crazy like 10.9% alc.
Their Double IPA is pretty wild also...
Good Stuff...
