I was bottling on sunday, and I noticed the sheen on the top of the ale as it siphoned into the bottling bucket. I think this is the first time I've seen phase-seperated hop oils. Sorry about the pictures...my phone was the only thing I had handy.

I've seen a bit of that before, but I never really pondered what it was. I guess I'm so used to seeing all the funky stuff in the fermenter :)

I get that from oatmeal, never seen it from hops before. (but I'm not one to brew IPA's...)

I like that. Reminds me of a stout, though, rather than a hoppy beer.
