well I was at this cool beer/wine bar last night for a Stone tasting event.
Had a tasting of Vertical Epic 03, 04 and 05, plus the last of the 3l bottle of Oaked AB (delicous!!) and the barleywine from keg.

but what I wanted to mention was the 6 pack i found... Sierra Nevada India Pale Ale! never heard nor seen of this but I certainly had to ahve it! will be tasting some tonight and will give a short report.

also grabbed a bottle of double bastard, and two 12oz rogue Impy stouts.

also had a flemish red ale that was on tap. very sour and different but good at the same time. here's a BA link to it: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/641/1745/

I'm on my last sixer from a case I bought about a month ago. A nicely done IPA from one of my favorite breweries.

SN must have expanded their territory for this beer. I found it at a mega-grocery store last week. I haven't had one yet, but plan to soon.

I keep seeing this at two of my local paint stores and have been meaning to pick it up, but something else seasonal has been catching my eye (last time it was the Weyerbacher Imperial Raspberry Stout, I picked up two sixers of it).

I made 11 gal. of a Duchy knock-off using a large amount of Belgian specialty grains and Wyeast Roeselaare yeast. It was very bland for the first six months but now is very, very nice. I highly recommend that strain for this style which reminds be of a malty, brown Berliner Weisse which I have been drinking since childhood. Yum and yum some more!

i basically had it thinking, 'wherelse am I ever going to find this on tap?' first sip was quite a shock... like drinking vinegar straight but it had a really interesting flavor after that.

Very akin to balsamic vinegar. Delicious!!
