View Full Version : Heineken 24oz bottle miss-print?
I was busy drinking away while watching full metal jacket -with some buddies. I looked down at my bottle and noticed that it said 8 oz. I was puzzled for a seconds, thinking; this can't be an 8 oz beer. I just finished a 12 oz beer a minute ago. I think this has to be a miss-print.
Worth anything? There might be tons of these miss-prints around and make them worth squat.
I've tried searching but didn't find anything.
keywords were: missprint, miss-print, error, heineken error.
I can't find anything through goggle or ebay.

No, that's one pint *plus* eight ounces, 16+8=24 ounces.
:)
Toney.
Oh, I see. That's strange; why not just print 24 FL oz lol.
Thanks anyways. in the trash it goes with the rest of the empty beer bottles =)

Why does the US not use the metric system? Why ask why?
Most beer bottles larger than 1 pt. (16 oz.) will make reference to a pint. For instance, many British imports will read "1 pt., 2.6 oz." or many 22 oz. bombers will read "1 pt., 6 oz.", etc. The 16 oz. pint is the standard measure of beer in the US, though sometimes disreputable publicans will use 13 or 14 oz. glasses with thicker bottoms and pass them off as pints - but that's a whole 'nother topic.
Beer bottles in the trash? California doesn't recycle? The land of low emissions, no smoking, health food lovers? Odd.
Cheers!

Richard will want you to amend that to say "an American pint is 16 oz... a true pint (British Imperial ) is 20 oz.
Stop drinking Heinies. It's making you see things.
