Did anyone go this year? Wasn't it last week? This is the first time I've missed it in 4 years.:(

I'm curious to know what stood out this year. Did Far East Ireland send anything?

How about some reports?

Far WEST Ireland was there. They brought Dry HOpped Hedgerow Red Ale, it was pretty good. Had a great nose of hops. Terminal Gravity was there with their IPA, one of my favorites. Stone had Ruination, we all know how horrible that stuff is! (can you sense the sarcasm?). Bear Republic had the Hot Rod Rye, my first chance to sample that one, and I was pleasantly surprised.
Tons of other beers were there, but I had to go to work at 11 o'clock Friday night.........very little sampling for me. :(
Such is life.

I was wondering why I couldn't find a website for Far West Ireland. I guess I'm not very good with my directions...:rolleyes:

Shouldn't the beer festival qualify for a sick day?

Next year, I'm taking Friday off!
I'll work the weekend, but Friday will be for beer!

I haven't been to it for the 6 years I have lived here. It seems I am always out of town. Next year I am definitely putting it on my list of things to do.

I just found somthing that might be of interest to you.


How about Dogfish Head 90 Minute on TAP........in Portland.
Have a look at the beer list for The Blue Monk, on Belmont.
It's a jazz bar.
Just the thought of a 90 Minute/Guiness black & tan has my head swimming!
