View Full Version : Hop Air Freshener

I made an IPA a while back and decided that this was the week that I was going to keg and prime it. In preparing for that, I wanted to dry hop it for a week. I put 1 oz Centennial, and .5 oz Columbus into a grain bag and tied it to the dip tube of my keg. I blasted it with a tiny bit of CO2 and let it sit for a week.

Today, I took out the hop bag, primed the beer, and sealed the keg up. Then I noticed how wonderful the hop bag smelled. I was thinking about tying it the the rear view mirror of my truck like an air freshener.

My husband (a Dearborn boy) thought that sounded like a great idea. :rolleyes:

As long as it doesn't end up looking like a bag of some "other" herb... don't want any unscheduled stops, now.

It would get skunky in the light. I suppose it would keep predators away, but maybe that's not what you're aiming for...

I'm all for it! I love the smell of good hops in the mornin'. Ya know that IPA smell. It smells like...victory!

Hum, this gives me a good idea. I have a couple of IPAs in the fridge. I think it's time to start drinking them.

It could be though he would alk out some morning to find a skunk courting his left front tire.
