I bought a 6 to try from the local Trader Joe's of Trinity Red Ale from the Trinity Brewing Co., Chicago. Not bad. Has a touch of Rye malt that you can taste but definitely not unpleasant and a very drinkable choice. Especially for 4.99! Anyone else tried it?

TJs also carries an Oatmeal Stout, brewed by the Stockyard Brewing Co., Chicago - in surprisingly similar packaging. Beer Advocate says the Trinity & Stockyard are brewed by Goose Island.
I was near my closest TJs today so I grabbed a mixed-sixer of the two. The Trinity is pretty good. Though not outstanding, I'd pick it before Killian's any day. Nice hop nose with a good mix of sweet and roasty malts.
It would be interesting to compare this with Goose's Kilgubbin Red Ale - interesting that both Bros at BA find a smokiness in the Kilgubbin, I get that from the Trinity...
I have a good memory of the Goose Oatmeal Stout, so the Stockyard ought to be telling.
Thanks for the suggestion HN.
