Independence At All Central Market

Due to its overwhelming success at Central Market in Austin, all three Independence Brewing beers are now available at all Central Market locations in Texas!

Amy from Independence Brewing Co. in Austin will be doing a tasting of their brews at Central Market in Houston this Saturday, March 11th between 1pm ~ 4pm. Its a great opportunity to try their brews and meet one of the founders of the brewery.

I picked up a sixer of the pale ale while in Fort Worth a while back. A pretty decent beer. Has a good hop aroma and flavor and a decent hop bitterness that balances well with the malt. Medium bodied; a very quaffable beer. I'll have to pick up more when I see it. How are their other beers?

Dissenter here. Watching that oily, adherent head take forever to disperse didn't squelch my suspicions much. By about the third of fourth sip, I was pretty convinced they had a diacetyl problem. Hope I'm wrong, but I have my reservations about trying a new batch.
