Some of my friends were discussing the proper way to pronounce Carib. The consensus is like "carob." However, the Latin and African influence of English in the Caribbean causes many people to say "kah-REEB."

Any thoughts?

Po-TAY-toe, po-TAW-toe, how's it taste? (assuming this is a beer reference...) ;)

I've always gone with "kar-REEB". It's a Corona type light lager. I drank it like water on some snorkel trips in the USVI. Not bad. Would never spend $$ for it in the states, but didn't pass up complimentary bottle on board the boats.

Cheers!

Probably similar to Imperial in Costa Rica. I've had it before but can't recall.

It is pronounced a couple of different ways but most bar tenders in the BVI's will tell you that it is pronounced "care-ib"
