Titanic Black Ice

Last night I tried a pint or three of Titanic Black Ice- a Winter Ale- very nice indeed but I'm buggered if I know how to classify it- a Porter as it's similar? Even Titanic's own website doesn't have an answer!

I met the titanic brewer at a fest once. But he only had bottled beer with him.:(
