I live in Dona Ana County in Southern New Mexico. The Mesilla Valley has long been known for growing chile, cotton, onions, lettuce and numerous other crops. I was wondering if hops could be grown here. I have written to the extension service at NMSU asking this but haven't received any replies. Does anyone know if my reasoning holds any water. Are we too far south? We have fairly long growing seasons and lots of light.
