I've known Don for 35 years as a beer supplier< friend and an Original Horse Brass Range, the soccer team we started with his support in 1977.
He was a friend and a Portland Treasure

I, too, only met Don the one time I was in Portland and made a point to visit him at the Horse Brass. He was a warm and welcoming man who made me immediately a part of his large, extended family of publicans and beer lovers. I still treasure a bottle he gave me of the beer Rogue Brewery made in honor of his late brother. I hope some brewer will make a special brew to honor Don.

I met Don Younger in the late 1970s at the Horse Brass. It was clear he loved what he was promoting for the cutting edge of real beer by introducing many new beers to those fortunate enough to enjoy to his pub. He was an inspiration.

The Portland BrewBus will miss him and raise a glass or more in his honor.
