Hey ,
I'm wondering if Bud Light hsas changed their formula to such an extent as to not brew at all . Forget adding the hops lets just add some grain alcohol or some equivilent. Bud light has been totally fricked over the last 3 months it has been so inconsistant over the last 2 years. Can't they keep up with the demand or is something more sinister going on?

Its all about big bucks. Its the Corp mind set, these big companies market their products to maximize the market share . The fact that they gradually changed BU the past years is an indication that these beers are not true to any style .
The more traditional beers from Europe and Craft beers in the US are indeed true to styles therefore deserve loyalty form Beer drinkers.
Large breweries are preocupied with market share, Capacity increase, layoffs and squeeze every bit of labor out of their employees.and less to the art of and the styles of Beer brewing.

Wilson, it's not quite the same, but, in regards, similar to coca-cola switching formulas. Well, at least that's the effect it could have on the swill-drinking class. If they were to just say, "Hey, more hops." People would naturally start to think the beer tastes different, even if the difference was only miniscule. People's minds work in strange ways and a lot people would probably run away from change, as it's what a lot of people already do. It's sad, but it's true. By doing it in secret, it's less likely they will lose their fan base, and, they are a company out to make the big $$

Why is A-B so hush hush about it? I guess they're afraid of running off loyal swill drinkers? Come A-B, change is never as bad as it seems, say, "Yes we changed it," and move on. I'd have more repect for them if they did, while I'm drinking my DogFish Head.
